I get this question all the time. There is not one filler that I will say hands down is the best because for one we first have to talk about what area we are filling. A filler that is ideal for cheeks is not ideal for lips. Secondly, we need to talk goals; what are you looking to accomplish with dermal filler? Do you want Kylie Jenner lips or are you looking for higher cheekbones? These are considerations for determining the right dermal filler. If you Google what the best filler is for each area you will most likely end up more confused and with biased information. I would recommend finding an injector you trust and asking them their opinion on the various products on the market. In general, I recommend Juvederm Ultra or Ultra Plus if you want to add volume to the lips. If you want to get rid of fine lines in the lips Juvederm Volbella is a great new option recently on the market. For cheeks price point and goals definitely come into consideration. If we need a significant amount of volume and are on a tight budget Radiesse is a great “bang for your buck” product. A syringe is 1.5cc vs. 1 cc in most other products. I like Juvederm Voluma for cheeks as it really does last awhile (1-2 years) but you have to consider you most likely will need a few syringes. I could go on and on about the various products….Belotero, the Restylane family of products, Sculptra, Bellafill, but lets save that for the consult.
